Removing the Processor Fan

Prerequisites

1 Remove the base cover.

2 Remove the battery.

Procedure

1 Disconnect the display cable from the system board.

2 Note the display-cable routing and remove the display cable from the

routing guides on the fan.

3 Lift the mylar tape and disconnect the processor-fan cable from the

system board.
