Enable ASP.NET 4.x

IIS 6 (Windows Server 2003)

If needed, open IIS Manager.

Expand the

Websites

folder.

Right-click

Default Website

Select

Properties

Select the

ASP.NET

tab.

In the

ASP.NET

version field, select 4.0.<xxxxx>.

Click

IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2)

Open a command prompt from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework (or Framework64)\v4.0.30319.

Type the following command:



aspnet_regiis.exe -i

IIS 8.5 (Windows Server 2012 R2)

Open a command prompt from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.x.xxxxx.

Type the following command:

aspnet_regiis.exe -i

Convert Console to Application

IIS 6 (Windows Server 2003)

If needed, open IIS Manager.

Expand the

Websites

folder.

Expand

Default Website

Right-click

Console

Select

Properties

Select the

Directory

tab.

In the Application settings area, click

Create

The application is now created.

Select the

ASP.NET

tab. Ensure that ASP.NET version 4.0.<xxxxx> is selected.

Click

IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2)

If needed, open IIS Manager.

Expand the

Websites

folder.

Expand

Default Website

Right-click

Console

; select

Convert to Application

In the Application Pool area, ensure that

ASP.NET v4.0

is selected (not ASP.NET v4.0 Classic).

Click

Close IIS Manager.
