3. After completing the Active System 1000 components discovery, update the

following information manually in the Active System Manager for all blade servers.

These parameters will be used for configuring the ESXi Server.

This information can be updated by using the multi-editor feature or by opening

individual server instances. You can launch the multi-editor by selecting multiple

server instances and then clicking Open with Multi-Editor.

The following parameters must be updated for each Dell server in the ASM

inventory. These are required for end-to-end ESX host provisioning.

• ESXServerHostname—Hostname to be assigned to the ESXi server.

• ESXServerPassword—Server root password to be assigned during unattended

installation.

• ESXiSCSIChapUsername — iSCSI CHAP user name used to access volume of

Compellent Storage Array.

• ESXiSCSIChapSecret—iSCSI CHAP secret corresponding to iSCSI CHAP user

name.

The following parameters must be updated for each Dell Compellent instance in the

ASM inventory. These are required for end-to-end host provisioning.

• FaultDomainAlias1– Alias name for WWPN of Compellent which exists on

Brocade switch 6510.

• FaultDomainAlias2– Alias name for WWPN of Compellent which exists on

Brocade switch 6510.
