Use the
logging
command in Global Configuration mode to log messages to a syslog server. To
delete the syslog server with the specified address from the list of syslogs, use the
no
form of this
command.
Syntax
logging {
ip-address
|
hostname
}
no logging {
ip-address
|
hostname
}

ip-address
—IP address of the host to be used as a syslog server.
•
hostname
—Hostname of the host to be used as a syslog server. (Range: 1-158 characters)
Default Configuration
No syslog servers defined.

Up to eight syslog servers can be used.

The following example places the designated server in logging configuration mode.
