ipv6 dhcp server
Use the
ipv6 dhcp server
command in Interface Configuration mode to configure DHCPv6 server
functionality on an interface. For a particular interface DHCPv6 server and DHCPv6 relay
functions are mutually exclusive.
Syntax
ipv6 dhcp server
pool-name
[rapid-commit] [preference
pref-value
]

pool-name
—
The name of the DHCPv6 pool containing stateless and/or prefix delegation
parameters
•
rapid-commit
—Is an option that allows for an abbreviated exchange between the client
and server.
•
pref-value
—Preference value - used by clients to determine preference between multiple
DHCPv6 servers. (Range: 0-4294967295)

This command has no default configuration.

The following example configures DHCPv6 server functionality.

command in IPv6 DHCP Pool Configuration mode to define Multiple
IPv6 prefixes within a pool for distributing to specific DHCPv6 Prefix delegation clients.
