During initial system setup,

if the SPS cabling is

misconfigured, an alert

occurs and cache is not

enabled. Once the system

is in this state, correctly

configuring the cabling will

not automatically enable

cache. Forcing the SPS

test to run (by unplugging

and then re-inserting the

SPS serial cable) clears

the fault and enables the

cache.

The cache will

automatically re-

enable once the

cabling is correctly

configured.

minutes before the current time,

the SPS test will start shortly

thereafter rather than waiting

for the correct time.

the current system time, it

is expected that the SPS

test would not start right

away. Instead, the SPS

test starts running shortly

thereafter. Since the SPS

test disables write caching,

it is possible that there will

be an unscheduled

decrease in system

performance while the test

runs.
