logging buffered
Use the
logging buffered
command in Global Configuration mode to limit syslog messages
displayed from an internal buffer based on severity. To cancel the buffer use, use the
no
form of this
command.
Syntax
logging buffered
level

—Limits the message logging to a specified level buffer. (Range:
emergency, alert,
critical, error, warning, notice, info, debug
)
Default Configuration
The default value for
level
is
info
.

All the syslog messages are logged to the internal buffer. This command limits the commands
displayed to the user.
Example
The following example limits syslog messages displayed from an internal buffer based on the
severity level "error".
console(config)#logging buffered error
logging buffered size
Use the
logging buffered size
command in Global Configuration mode to change the number of
syslog messages stored in the internal buffer. To return the number of messages stored in the
internal buffer to the default value, use the
no
form of this command.

history table. (Range: 20 - 400)
