The output of this command includes the following information:
Parameter Description
MAC
MAC address of the mesh node.
Portal
By default, this column displays the BSSID of the mesh point. If you include the
optional names parameter, this column will display AP names, if available. The AP
names will include [p] (parent), or [c] (child) suffixes to indicate the role of the
mesh BSSID.
Channel
Number of a radio channel used by the AP.
Age
Number of seconds elapsed since the AP heard from the neighbor.
Hops
Indicates the number of hops it takes traffic from the mesh node to get to the mesh
portal. The mesh portal advertises a hop count of 0, while all other mesh nodes
advertise a cumulative count based on the parent mesh node.
Cost
A relative measure of the quality of the path from the AP to the Virtual Controller. A
lower number indicates a better quality path, where a higher number indicates a
less favorable path (e.g, a path which may be longer or more congested than a
path with a lower value.) For a mesh point, the path cost is the sum of the (parent
path cost) + (the parent node cost) + (the link cost).
Relation
Shows the relationship between the specified AP and the AP on the neighbor list
and the amount of time that relationship has existed.
